Cancer thoughts

Cancer, what a scary word. So hard this can be and scary yes, but with determination, strength and courage, we can overcome this. What I've been seriously thinking about and what's prompted me to start this tiny blog, is that for the body to truly heal, it needs to be seriously considered, why the cancer and other dis-eases are starting within our bodies.

None of us were born with cancers and diabetes and other dis-eases, they grew because of what's been put into our bodies. Unbeknownst to us, many of our foods have been chemically treated or genetically altered. We have to take a serious look at what we eat and what we put on our bodies. What we're exposing them to.

I am so angry with our country for allowing our foods to be sprayed with chemicals and for allowing companies to put things into food that are not natural. Our food, our water supply has been treated with so many different chemicals, it's no wonder that everyone now it seems is coming down with cancer or some other type of dis-ease.

What's sad, is unless we change what we put into our mouths, the cancer's will keep coming back. I had surgery to remove cancer, then found out cancer morphed yet again. I had more surgeries to have it removed, then found out it came back, then had more surgeries to remove that too. Well, it's still coming back. *Screams* It just won't go away! WHY!? I've screamed and cried about this over and over again. Until...

Until, it hit like that proverbial brick wall. Finally things I was reading started making sense. To simply put it: How do you get rid of a pimple. Well, the face needs to be washed and kept clean, right? Then the pimple heals and goes away. If it works this way for other things, then why not cancer too.

If we get a disease, a pimple, then it makes sense that it's because of something "dirty" that we're being exposed to. We can have it surgically removed, but if we keep playing in that dirty soil, then another pimple is bound to happen again. What we really need to do then, the only thing that makes sense, is to change the playground that we play in. If the soil is dirty where we've been playing, then we can find cleaner playgrounds and make sure we keep our face cleaner.

Same thing with our bodies. If we keep filling it full of dirty food and water, it's going to keep getting in trouble. What do we do? We have to learn to really look at what we eat. What kind of chemicals are in it and what it is made out of. God gave us these beautiful bodies and he also gave us beautiful food to eat. He promises us in The Bible that he gave us all the food we need and all the tools here on earth to heal ourselves, should we get sick.

With that being said, then why are our bodies going haywire? I don't think God meant for hamburger helper to be in our choices, nor that packet of spices, nor that bottle of Gatorade. He gave us fruit, vegetables, whole foods, whole plants and even animals to roam free. He didn't mean for us to eat scientifically designed food or to eat other chemicals. There is no place on earth to go harvest a cup of sugar, or a box of hamburger helper, or a can of soup.

We've gotten so conditioned to eat foods like this, that it's no wonder that society is cancer ridden, diabetes rampant and other dis-eases plaguing our world. We've gotten use to sugar as a reward, a Starbucks coffee as a great unwinder, a candy bar to fuel our day. That's what the ads tell us but, who's showing us those ads? What would God do? Shake His head I bet and point His finger at them and probably say shame on you folks for deceiving us and poisoning us,,, then probably say shame on us for letting our desires over rule our common sense that He gave us. Instincts that tell us, nono.

We, sadly, have to look at that oreo cookie for what it's truly made out of, look at that delicious creamer that goes in coffee,, look all those boxes and cans and other processed foods that we've gotten so use to calling "Handy helpers" and in other words, we have to seriously get back to basics, to truly let our bodies get back to how they were meant to be, simply and healthily whole.

I've had a super hard time making complete transitions to eating healthier, a true junk food junkie I was, and frustratingly I still can't resist some stuff and holy crappies does my body know it. I've been trying to eat much more organics and whole foods, plant based, and the body feels much better, cancer spots start to back off, but then temptation gets in the way and that pizza is just too good to ignore, or so tired in an evening and end up making a quick meal of those handy helpers >,< and then the body rebels and the cancer flares up and itches all night long, like last night! So mad at myself for having that pizza when I knew I shouldn't and then eating other junk on top of it.

With cancer, our bodies are saying that we've pushed them to the brink and we need to start making some drastic changes, Pronto. We have to seriously buckle down and change our eating habits. God does also promise though, that once we put forth the effort, truly, that He'll help us heal as long as we ask Him. Pray to Him. The key words though are we have to put forth the effort, no matter how much we don't like it, because our taste buds got spoiled by all this deliciously poisoned and sugar laced food.

I strongly suggest reading some articles and reading some of these books if you can. Mainly though, is to start checking out sites like "Chris Beat Cancer - http://www.chrisbeatcancer.com/" and "Cancer Truth - http://www.cancertruth.net/" and "Kid Against Chemo https://www.facebook.com/pages/Kid-Against-Chemo/742946279111241?fref=nf" and a few books I highly recommend are Kicking cancer in the kitchen - http://thekickingkitchen.com/ and "Forks over Knives - http://www.forksoverknives.com/"

Or, simply start googling Curing cancer. Truly, all their stories relate to the same thing. We have to change what we eat, drastically. We have to switch to organic, whole food, chemical free and clean water. Stop the sugar and processed foods, stop white flour, switch to whole grain flour, start eating plant based foods. Truly going back to the Garden Of Eden. Eating what God gave us. If it doesn't grow from the ground, then we need to turn our heads and walk away from it. No, that oreo cookie is NOT worth it. Sorry for the wall but, I'm getting super passionate that surgery does not cure cancer. The only true way to cure cancer, is by cleaning up our playgrounds. You can do this!!! We all can do this! Let's go play in that beautiful clean playground, God's playground, Garden of Eden style~

I'd like to introduce you to an Alt~er-Native Reality

~Altiana~

Sugar me healthy? It's still sugar, after all

I've been thinking allot about sugar lately and just how much this country really consumes. Almost every recipe I see and no matter what's being cooked, they all seem to add sugar in some form. I've been thinking back to when I was raising my kids and they never use to like sugar. Their very first taste of "sweetnesses" they didn't like. I have to admit that I think I was the one that got them to like sugar, because I'd "reward" them with cookies and goodies of all kinds that always had sugar in them. Why didn't I reward them with fruit, or some other type of organic goodness. I guess because it was the way I was raised too, the way that the ads on TV and all around us tell us to do. Reward with sweet looking cupcakes, take a break with a candy bar, be a good host and make a fabulous sugar filled cake with beautiful thick frosting, enjoy that cup of coffee with a delightful doughnut and sweet creamers for that perfect morning blend. We've been talked into believing that sugar is a beautiful thing.

When in reality, sugar is the silent sweet killer. So much dis-ease and so many aches and pains can be narrowed down to one thing and that's sugar. It's the root of so much cavities too!.. and pain and sickness, truly. Diabetics have problems with sugar, cancer patients, me included, can't tolerate refined sugar in any form. Even the so called healthy sugars, when broken down in the body to their simplest forms, they're still sugars. Sugar is sugar, no matter how healthy or organic it's labeled. The body knows no difference in the end. Some will argue there's a difference and while it may be true that the'res sugars that may be "better for you" and can contain healthful properties, it's still a form of that simple sugar and sugar is simply not healthy for the body. Such as the other properties in that honey, yes, the sugar part of it, no.

In other parts of the world where they don't use sugar, they don't have Near the problems that we do here.  Obesity, heart disease, diabetes, cancer, liver disease, high blood pressure just among a few. I feel guilty now for giving my kids so much sweets, because now that my sons are grown and have kids of their own, their own bodies have had trouble because of the foods that were eaten, processed foods contributed too. Boxed, canned, processed foods of all kinds and including sugar, have been the biggest killer of our society. So many people have died from so many different diseases, when they all stem down to what was consumed, what we put in our mouths.

If only we would really look at what we're eating and what that food really contains, what we're putting in our bodies and be more aware of the ingredients. Our bodies weren't meant to ingest chemicals, they weren't meant to ingest the dyes that color our food and  ingest the pesticides that are sprayed on the crops and to eat chemicals that replicate a flavor. They aren't meant for so much sugar either. Our bodies are meant to eat the food that is put here on earth, in it's own state. Gather together foods that are grown, mix them up and create meals. Not to add a chemical dye to it, nor to add some other chemical, nor to add sugar to it. Sugar cannot be found in its natural state. It has to be broken down to become sugar.

Do we even know how sugar is made? I don't. Sugar can't be harvested in it's natural state. Nowhere can you go and find a cup of sugar growing in the ground. Cereal isn't growing from the ground either. There is no fruit loop tree. Do we know how cereal becomes cereal? How about hamburger helper? Those nifty season packets. How about all those other seasoning packets we buy. Have you read your can of soup's label? What are all those ingredients? Gatorade, what was touted for years as being healthy. It wasn't until lately that Gatorade was found to have fire retardant in it, among other things we've yet to know what they are.  I know we would be shocked if we truly knew what was in all our food. And we wonder why our bodies are failing and sickness is rampant. Why our joints are so sore and our hormones fubared. Sugar is probably sloshing around inside of us, along with all those chemicals, making our bodies go haywire. Our minds too. No wonder society is going bonkers, it's on chemical and sugar overload.

Coconut Mayonnaise

Servings: 1 1/2 cups
Preparation Time: 5 minutes

  • 1 whole egg
  • 2 egg yolks
  • 1 tablespoon mustard
  • 1 tablespoon fresh lemon juice
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon pepper
  • 1/2 cup Virgin Coconut Oil (melted if solid)
  • 1/2 cup virgin olive oil
Place the eggs, mustard, lemon juice, salt, and pepper into a food processor or blender. Blend briefly for a few seconds.

With the processor or blender running on low speed, start adding your oils very slowly. Start out with drops and then work up to about a 1/16-inch stream. This will take a few minutes.
Continue blending until all the oil is used up and there is no free standing oil.

Berry Fruit Tarts With Chia Seeds

Source:
http://www.onegreenplanet.org/vegan-recipe/berry-fruit-tarts-with-chia-seeds/  Thank you, Emily!

THIS RECIPE IS :
Dairy-Free, Raw, Vegan

Emily's Recipe:
These vegan tarts are all fruit and the crust is nut-free, made from only dried dates, raisins and figs. The filling is banana cream and obviously the topping is simply sliced strawberries and kiwi. I added chia to the banana cream because chia is a rock star (or should I say... RAW star? Eh? Eh!? Alright fine, I won't).

These are absolutely bursting with color, flavor, and life. I ate two of them all by myself while photographing. I've got a tough life, what can I say? Go ahead and use whatever fresh fruits you have, and top these off with little goodies like cacao, goji berries, or coconut flakes. They are best enjoyed in the sunshine, with your friends, family, and animal buddies.

SERVES
3 tarts

INGREDIENTS

Crust:
1/4 cup dates
1/4 cup raisins
1/4 cup dried figs

Filling:
1-2 bananas
2 tablespoon chia seeds (optional)

Topping:
3/4 cup chopped strawberries
3/4 cup chopped kiwi
Whatever else you want

PREPARATION

Crust:
Put all the ingredients in your food processor and pulse until everything is in small pieces that stick together – don’t process to much or it will get too sticky.
Press into three lined tart tins. Put in the fridge.

Filling:
Mush the banana with fork and then add the chia seeds.

Assembly:
Take the crusts gently out of the tins.
Spread the banana chia mix into the crusts and then top off with the fruit. Gobble.

Independent laboratory testing results of popular gravity water filters

Water pitcher lab testing results. I feel this information should be made freely accessible, not having to subscribe or pay or anything else. It benefits everyone to know which ones work the best and information that helps someone to lead a better life, should be free, in my own opinion. I apologize to anyone that has taken offense to my doing this but, life shouldn't be about money or making a profit in any other form. Life should simply be about people helping people to live a better life.

Big Berkey -

Big Berkey was by far the best-performing gravity water filter  tested, achieving near-total removal of all toxic elements when used with the attached arsenic / fluoride filters (which attach underneath the black ceramic filters).

Product assembly was straightforward and simple, and all the parts in the unit worked reliably.

Reduction of elements by Big Berkey:

Aluminum: 86.6%
Copper: 100.0%
Arsenic: 100.0%
Strontium: 100.0%
Cadmium: 100.0%
Cesium: 98.6%
Mercury: 99.8%
Lead: 100.0%
Uranium: 100.0%

Zen Water Systems Filter -

The Zen Water Systems filter performed extremely well, removing 99% or better of most toxic elements.

The Zen Water System uses a 5-stage see-through filter element that also alkalizes the water by adding trace minerals after filtration.

The unit was easy to assemble and worked reliably. Two drawbacks to the unit: 1) The see-through construction allows light to provide photosynthesis energy to algae, so if water is left in the unit for a long period of time, algae may begin to grow. (It's not harmful, but might be unsightly.) 2) The unit is made primarily of resins, not stainless steel, so the long-term durability of the unit is likely not be as good as a stainless steel unit. On the positive side, however, the Zen Water Systems filter looks more visually appealing and less like a piece of survival hardware, making it a potentially better choice for offices, kitchens or healing practices.

Reduction of elements by Zen Water Systems:

Aluminum: 89.6%
Copper: 99.9%
Arsenic: 99.5%
Strontium: 90.9%
Cadmium: 99.1%
Cesium: 94.2%
Mercury: 99.4%
Lead: 99.9%
Uranium: 99.8%

ZeroWater Water Filter -

The ZeroWater water filter out-performed all other water filters tested, easily earning the top spot in terms of performance.

Astonishingly, ZeroWater removed 100% of several elements (Aluminum, Strontium and Cesium) while removing over 99% of everything else, including lead and arsenic.

This performance is virtually unheard of in water filtration technologies, regardless of the manufacturer.
The only drawback of ZeroWater filters is that they can quickly be "used up" if you try to filter high mineral content water through them such as well water. Because the ZeroWater ion exchange element binds with virtually ALL elements, its life will be reduced if you run high TDS (Total Dissolved Solids) water through it on a regular basis.

Nevertheless, because of its impressive performance, ZeroWater earns our choice as the single best countertop water filter to own for emergency use. It very effectively removes toxic heavy metals as well as elements with radioactive isotopes.

Actual results for the ZeroWater water filter:

Aluminum reduction: 100%
Copper reduction: 99.1%
Arsenic reduction: 99.3%
Strontium reduction: 100%
Cadmium reduction: 99.2%
Cesium reduction: 100%
Mercury reduction: 99.4%
Lead reduction: 99.2%
Uranium reduction: 99.1%

WaterMan Mini water filter -

Despite its small size, the WaterMan Mini water filter performed extremely well, easily out-performing nearly every other water filter tested.

The increase of strontium in the filtered water (+179%) is actually not a concern. This was a non-radioactive strontium which is typically used as an effective ion exchange medium in filtration technologies. Stronium in its stable isotope is actually a positive mineral for bone health.

Actual results for the WaterMan Mini water filter:

Aluminum reduction: 62.4%
Copper reduction: 89.2%
Arsenic reduction: 54.0%
Strontium reduction: INCREASE of 179%
Cadmium reduction: 49.1%
Cesium reduction: 25.7%
Mercury reduction: 99.7%
Lead reduction: 93.7%
Uranium reduction: 72.4%

Mavea Water Filter -

The Mavea water filter test performed relatively poorly, but unlike many other filters, it did not release additional aluminum into the water. For this reason, it's rated as superior to Pur, Brita and Culligan.
The overall ability of the Mavea water filter to removal elements was relatively poor. Based on the laboratory results, it is not recommended to buy Mavea as a water filter for the removal of heavy metals and radioactive isotopes.

Actual results for the Mavea water filter:

Aluminum reduction: 8.1%
Copper reduction: 18.8%
Arsenic reduction: 18.6%
Strontium reduction: 2.4%
Cadmium reduction: 9.2%
Cesium reduction: 15.3%
Mercury reduction: 85.0%
Lead reduction: 23.4%
Uranium reduction: 22.7%

Seychelle Water Filter -

The Seychelle water filter test performed better than most. Lead removal at 72% was respectable, and the filter removed more cesium (38.7%) than nearly all the filters tested.

Seychelle also did an outstanding job removing arsenic. For this reason, Seychelle is recommended as a reliable filter for the removal of heavy metals and radioactive isotopes.

Actual results for the Seychelle water filter:

Aluminum reduction: INCREASE of 27.9%
Copper reduction: 39.9%
Arsenic reduction: 78.4%
Strontium reduction: 30.2%
Cadmium reduction: 27.8%
Cesium reduction: 38.7%
Mercury reduction: 99.6%
Lead reduction: 72.0%
Uranium reduction: 43.2%

Culligan Water Filter -

The Culligan water filter test performed poorly, near the bottom of the performance list. (Only Brita was worse.)

Culligan only removed about 16% of arsenic, 30% of lead and 30% of cesium.
It is not recommended to use Culligan as a water filter for the removal of heavy metals and radioactive isotopes.

Actual results of the Culligan countertop water filter:

Aluminum reduction: INCREASE of 52.4%
Copper reduction: 30.8%
Arsenic reduction: 16.0%
Strontium reduction: 27.8%
Cadmium reduction: 22.6%
Cesium reduction: 30.4%
Mercury reduction: 62.4%
Lead reduction: 30.2%
Uranium reduction: 28.6%

Pur Water Filter -

The Pur water filter test performed poorly, removing relatively small amounts of most heavy metals and elements while actually increasing the concentration of aluminum in the filtered water.

Based on these results, it is not recommended that Pur water filters be used in the removal of heavy metals or radioactive isotopes.

Actual results for the Pur water filter:

Aluminum reduction: INCREASE of 46.8%
Copper reduction: 27.6%
Arsenic reduction: 19.8%
Strontium reduction: 15.4%
Cadmium reduction: 17.4%
Cesium reduction: 27.8%
Mercury reduction: 98.9%
Lead reduction: 34.9%
Uranium reduction: 31.5%

Brita Water Filter -

The Brita water filter test was the worst-performing water filter of all those tested. This was surprising, given the high popularity of the Brita water filter at retail.

Shockingly, the Brita only removed 14% of lead and about 12% of arsenic. At the same time, it actually increased the amount of aluminum in the water by almost 34%.

Based on these results, it is not recommended that Brita water filters be used in the removal of heavy metals or radioactive isotopes.

Actual results of the Brita water filter:

Aluminum reduction: INCREASE of 33.9%
Copper reduction: 8.6%
Arsenic reduction: 12.1%
Strontium reduction: 3.6%
Cadmium reduction: 6.6%
Cesium reduction: 9.5%
Mercury reduction: 74.6%
Lead reduction: 14.1%
Uranium reduction: 10.0%

Cyrstal Drop Water Filter -

The Crystal Drop water filter performed quite poorly compared to the other water filters in this testing. Its ability to remove toxic elements from water was shown to be significantly low enough that the unit should not be considered a reliable tool for the removal of toxic elements from water.

Reduction of elements by the Crystal Drop Water Filter:

Aluminum: -1165.5% (large increase in Aluminum)
Copper: 41.2%
Arsenic: 22.7%
Strontium: -51.8%
Cadmium: 29.2%
Cesium: 21.7%
Mercury: 85.3%
Lead: 62.3%
Uranium: 41.1%

ProPur Water Filter -

The ProPur Water Filter showed several problems. From the start, the assembly could not be completed because the attachment screw in the lid knob was too short to attach the knob to the lid.
The first flush of the ProPur system using the standard filters produced a heightened lead level of 5405 ppb in the flush water. This was very surprising and was not observed in any other water filter. The ProPur unit was flushed a total of five times, monitoring the lead levels in the resulting water for each flush. Lead steadily reduced to 140 ppb by the 5th flush, indicating the importance of exhaustively flushing the filters many times before using them.

The test results of the ProPur with its original filters was quite poor, indicating relatively little ability for its standard filters to remove toxic elements. In addition, the standard filters also released Aluminum into the water, nearly doubling the Aluminum concentration in the filtered water.

The ProPur unit also introduced additional lead into the water, possibly from the metal alloy used in the spigot that dispenses the water.

Reduction of elements by the ProPur Water Filter (standard filters):

Aluminum: -91.8% (meaning Aluminum was increased rather than reduced)
Copper: 18.8%
Arsenic: 21.4%
Strontium: -33.9%
Cadmium: 13.7%
Cesium: 17.6%
Mercury: 99.8%
Lead: -26.5% (meaning Lead was increased rather than decreased)
Uranium: 21.5%

Doulton Water Filter -

The Doulton water filter performed the poorest of the filters we tested, removing surprisingly little of the toxic elements tested.

Although the unit might be perfectly capable of removing bacteria, parasites and amoeba from water, it has proven itself quite incapable of removing toxic elements and heavy metals.

Reduction of elements by the Doulton Water Filter:

Aluminum: -248.0% (increase in Aluminum)
Copper: 21.3%
Arsenic: 19.3%
Strontium: 4.2%
Cadmium: 8.2%
Cesium: 11.9%
Mercury: 95.0%
Lead: 20.9%
Uranium: 35.0%
