Natural Antibiotic Ointment Recipe!

In the recipe below, each ingredient contains many healing properties. The base is a combination of oils that are anti-viral, anti-inflammatory, anti-microbial and anti-fungal. The herbs have various medicinal properties as well. Witch Hazel helps to clean and disinfect wounds while speeding up the healing process. These are just some of the incredible benefits of this natural antibiotic ointment.

Ingredients:

1/2 cup Organic Coconut Oil
1/2 cup Organic Almond OilApricot Oil, Grape Seed Oil or Olive Oil
1/2 cup Organic Calendula Flowers, crumbled
2 teaspoons Organic Witch Hazel
15 drops Organic Lavender or Organic Tea Tree Essential Oil (optional)

Directions:

The first step is to heat the oil enough to release the plants’ active ingredients. Use one of two methods:

1. Pour herbs into a clean, dry jar. Add oil until herbs are covered. Stir with a chopstick or wooden spoon. As herbs absorb the oil, add more oil to thoroughly cover herbs. Screw on lid. Place jar in a sunny window and shake daily for two weeks.

2. Add herbs and oil to the top of a double boiler. Make sure herbs are completely covered with oil. Heat on low for 30 to 60 minutes, stirring occasionally. Strain oil through cheesecloth into jar, add Lavender or Tea Tree Oil.

Once cooled, put into a container of choice and store in a cool, dark place. This keep up to a year.

For Use:

Apply directly to scrapes, cuts, burns, diaper rash, dry skin, athlete’s foot, etc. as required.
Cheers to your health!
