HOW TO KILL CANDIDA, FUNGI, YEAST IN THE BODY

HOW TO KILL CANDIDA, FUNGI, YEAST IN THE BODY

Candida is typically present in healthy individuals. It can live on the skin and in mucous membranes without causing an infection or any ill effects. As a fungus, it even plays an important role in breaking down organic wastes and recycling the nutrients. A little Candida is not a bad thing, but a lot of it, especially when it spreads throughout the body, is a very bad thing.

A Silent Epidemic

Candida is opportunistic and highly adaptive. When given the right conditions Candida albicans can overgrow very quickly causing yeast infections and fungemias (systemic fungal infections). Mild to severe Candida infections are incredibly common among the U.S. population due to the Standard American Diet, which is very conducive to Candida overgrowth.
Candidiasis is more prone to occur in warm and moist areas of the body; areas like the digestive tract, the genitals, mouth, throat, skin folds, and anywhere in the body with dead or dying tissue. After Candida eats away at dead tissue, it will often attack healthy tissue in order to keep growing. And Candida creates waste products that are neurotoxins such as formaldehyde, alcohol, and acetlyaldehyde. Candida infections include the following:
  • Skin (yeast infection or diaper rash)
  • Genitals (genital/vulvovaginal candidiasis)
  • Throat (thrush or oropharyngeal candidiasis)
  • Mouth (thrush or oropharyngeal candidiasis)
  • Blood (invasive candidiasis)
  • Digestive Tract
As you can see, yeast infections can happen just about anywhere. Athlete’s foot and ear infections are directly caused by Candida while many other ailments such as the cold and flu are indirectly caused by Candida. When our immune system is stressed and taxed from battling Candida, we are more prone to other infections. Usually, when someone is sick they are dealing with multiple pathogens including Candida and other fungi, though not always at a level where conventional medical testing would show it.
Systemic candida infections, even mild infections, can place a heavy burden on our body’s defenses making it open season for other pathogens. This is how most of us get sick. The Standard American Diet and Candida impair our immune system enough to make us susceptible to viral and bacterial illnesses.

Candida Overgrowth Mimics Other Conditions

There are so many symptoms of Candida overgrowth that it can be difficult to diagnose. It is exceedingly rare that someone would have all of the symptoms and the combination of symptoms varies a great deal from person to person. Far too often, symptoms of candida overgrowth are mistaken for other conditions such as ADHD, Autism, Alzheimer’s, and Multiple Sclerosis. Worse still, Candida overgrowth makes these conditions far more difficult to manage.
The symptoms of Candida overgrowth are legion. Much of the following list of symptoms of Candida overgrowth is from Donna Gates book The Body Ecology Diet.

The Role of Bacteria

Bacteria live in and on the human body in either a harmful or a health promoting, symbiotic relationship. We have ten times more bacteria in and on our bodies than our number of human cells. We label bacteria as bad when it feeds off of healthy tissue or releases toxins through its metabolic processes.
Beneficial bacteria in the gut digest our food, assimilate the nutrients present in our food, and they even make vitamins and the body’s majority of neurotransmitters. Bacteria play a dominant role in our immune system. Beneficial bacteria work hard to keep bad bacteria and Candia in check.
The remainder of the body’s defenses would be quickly overwhelmed by invading pathogens without the help of friendly microorganisms. If we take care of our good microbes, they’ll take care of the bad microbes for us.

Diet Is Key

The easiest and most effective way to increase beneficial bacteria and build up the immune system is to eat the right foods. Without changing the diet, all of the supplements and medications in the world won’t rid the body of Candida. The right food is the best medicine; it restricts the growth of Candida and aids in the growth of beneficial bacteria.
Gut microbiomes can even influence our food cravings. This can make it even more difficult to change our diet than we once thought, but new evidence is emerging that further reinforces the notion that the change is well worth the effort.
Bad bacteria and yeast prefer junk food, low fiber, sugar, and a lot of carbohydrates and processed foods. Sugar directly feeds yeast. Simple refined sugars feed it the best. A diet high in sugar also enables viral and bacterial infections, as sugar impairs immune system function. This is standard American fare but not what we have evolved to eat. This is much of the reason why Americans are, on average, in such poor health.
We evolved to eat foods in their entirety, not reconstituted, concentrated foods. Food is more than just vitamins, minerals, and calories. The parts of food that we don’t digest, the fiber, is crucial to our health. So is a diverse diet.
High fiber foods such as raw produce modulate our metabolism. If you drink a large glass of orange juice your blood sugar will jump up. Not so if you eat a large orange. Fiber regulates the speed at which food travels through our digestive system. It slows the release of the sugars and carbohydrates from food and it feeds beneficial bacteria. Raw produce, more vegetables than fruit, creates a microbiome that kills harmful microbes and encourages beneficial ones.
Good flora can turn into bad flora because your eco system is built on what you feed it. Good food equals good flora. Flora that is even remotely capable of digesting and moving out highly processed foods such as fast food are flora that are very powerful and dangerous to us. These are the kind of microbes that can survive preservatives and exposure to other toxins.
If we damage our intestinal lining with things like alcohol, preservatives and other toxins, then we are also killing our more delicate and more friendly intestinal flora. Candida does not die off so easily, and without fierce competition from friendly bacteria, yeast can and does overgrow in the digestive tract.

Anti-Candida Diet

A Candida diet must eliminate some of the foods that you will normally eat on a healthy diet, but the basis of a healthy diet remains the same. A Candida diet should consist of 80% fresh, raw, organic produce, more vegetables than fruit. Choose a wide variety of nutrient dense foods. If you eat meat, make sure you choose organic meat. You do not want to eat meat from diseased animals that were fed hormones and antibiotics. Avoid processed foods, and do not eat any foods with artificial flavorings, colorings, preservatives, MSG, or trans fats. Avoid all GMOs. This is easy to do if all of your food choices are organic.
This is a prebiotic diet. Raw produce is high in fiber, which is essential for gut health. Fiber not only moves toxins through the bowels, it provides the perfect environment for healthy bacteria to thrive. Many conventional sites that write about a diet for Candida warn against eating fermented foods. We make the opposite recommendation, eat lots of fermented foods. Fermented foods such as sauerkraut, kimchi, kombucha, and kefir provide the healthy bacteria needed in the gut–the bacteria that will ultimately crowd out Candida. Foods that kill fungi include onions, leeks, green apples, ginger, pomegranates, and citrus fruits. Along with diet, there is an arsenal of natural treatments for Candia. It isn’t necessary to take supplements to kill Candida, but it does speed up the process faster than diet alone.
There is an undeniable link between gluten reactions and candida. This is because there is a protein found in Candida, HWP-1, which is highly homologous (nearly identical) to two gluten proteins, alpha gliadin and gamma-gliadin. These proteins are known to stimulate immune cell responses in people who otherwise might not have any problems with gluten. In other words, Candida, the yeast responsible for oral thrush and vaginal infections (and so much more), contains a similar protein as gluten, and this can trigger gluten sensitivities.

What to Avoid

Juices, gluten, GMOs, sugars, ketchup, mushrooms, refined foods, toxins that disrupt gut balance from antibiotics, vaccines, and alcohol should all be avoided if possible. Conventional meats should also be avoided due to widespread prophylactic antibiotic use, which can damage our beneficial bacteria. Also it is important to limit intake of starches. Red potatoes and sweet potatoes are good choices when eating potatoes. These restrictions are temporary. After healthy gut bacteria are well established and symptoms of Candida overgrowth are gone, some flexibility in diet will return. Should symptoms reappear, just strictly adhere to the diet for a few weeks to a few months.

Anti-Fungal Foods

A diet high in produce with more vegetables than fruits is crucial for healing Candida. There are, however, some foods that have particular anti-fungal or probiotic qualities that will speed up Candida’s demise. If you take away the foods that Candida thrive on, yeast infections will be a thing of the past, even the low-lying kind that saps you of your energy and focus.
These foods contain potent anti-fungal properties, so they do a remarkable job of killing Candida. They should make up a substantial portion of any Candida detox diet, which should also include other low-sugar, high fiber vegetables. High fiber raw produce creates the right environment for beneficial bacteria to thrive.
  • Green Apples
  • Pomegranates
  • Garlic
  • Oregano
  • Onions
  • Leeks
  • Coconut
  • Rutabaga
  • Turnips
  • Olive Oil
  • Lemons & Limes
  • Pumpkin Seeds
  • Broccoli
  • Brussels sprouts
  • Arugula
  • Watercress
  • Cabbage
These spices also have potent anti-fungal properties. Try to work them into your meals every chance you get.
  • Thyme
  • Turmeric
  • Clove
  • Cayenne Pepper
  • Cinnamon
These probiotic foods are very beneficial if you can get them with live cultures. Consuming these foods will help increase the numbers and effectiveness of your beneficial bacteria. Take care to avoid MSG, artificial flavors, and other questionable ingredients that are sometimes found in these foods.
  • Sauerkraut
  • Kimchi
  • Raw apple cider vinegar
  • Acidophilus
  • BioK
  • Kombucha
  • Yogurt
  • Kefir
  • Other fermented vegetables
The problem with many of the aforementioned foods is that the stomach acid typically kills most or all of the beneficial bacteria. Some yogurts are designed with bacteria strong enough to survive stomach acid, and high quality probiotic capsules are typically designed get through acid and release in the gut.

If you want to heal from Candida faster, these supplements can help to speed up the process.

Conclusion

Candida overgrowth is incredibly common. A diet high in starches, sugars, preservatives, and processed foods feeds Candida while a diet high in raw produce feeds Candida’s competition. Once you kill off the Candida, you’ll be amazed by the clarity you gain and the difference in how you feel. In addition, the dietary changes you make will provide the foundation for a vital, healthy life.

From The Editor:

Below, our list of recommended supplements is a protocol that I put together based on what people have found the greatest success with to balance gut flora and heal the intestinal tract. You can take them all together except the FloraMend should be taken without other supplements. If you’re looking for a topical solution, nothing works better than SF722 (both internal and externally), but it causes a burning sensation that is very intense. It does not damage the skin but it hurts until the Candida is dead.
Recommended Supplements:
  • Shillington’s Intestinal Cleanse (kills parasites, heals the intestinal walls, sets up hospital home for health flora)
  • Formula SF722 (undecenoic acid, kills candida and other fungal functions better than other antimicrobials)
  • FloraMend-Prime by Thorne (a strong probiotic designed to pass through the stomach acid and into the intestinal tract, all other supplements can be taken together, but take this one separately like early morning and late night)
  • GI Shield by Gai Herbs (a parasite killer, works pretty well on Candida, but works better on many other parasites)
  • Shillington’s Intestinal Detox (This is necessary only for those with seriously damaged intestines, anyone who has recently been vaccinated, or those looking to do a thorough detox)

Herbal Healing Salve Possibilities

Vaginal Salve -
Soothing Emollient Vulnerary

Comfrey root (Symphytum officinale)
Calendula flower (Calendula officinalis)
Chickweed herb (Stellaria media)
Plantain leaf (Plantago lanceolata)
Mullein leaf (Verbascum thapsus)
St. John’s Wort flowering tops (Hypericum perforatum)

Olive Oil

Coconut Oil
Tea Tree Oil

Action:

This herbal salve is a classic example of a topical vulnerary, an agent that promotes the healing of wounds to the skin. Its actions are antiseptic, anti-inflammatory, soothing and analgesic, antipruritic (relieves or prevents itching), and it stimulates the regeneration of aged and damaged tissues and their blood vessels.

Uses:

Indicated in all cases where the skin or other epithelial tissues are wounded, irritated, inflamed or aged: cuts, abrasions, all types of burns (thermal, sun, radiation, and chemical burns), frostbite, trauma and bruises, ulcerations and erosions, diaper rash, contact dermatitis, aged and weathered skin, chapped skin and lips, hemorrhoids, irritation or injury of labial and vaginal tissues, traumatized eyes, etc.

Dose:

All wounds should be cleaned and disinfected before applying salve. Thermal burns and sunburns should be “cooled down” with cold water or ice packs before applying salve.Topical: Apply salve to troubled area with a mild rubbing action until salve melts, or smear salve onto sterile gauze and tape to area. Can be applied several times per day according to condition. If gauze sticks to wound, moisten with sterile water or hydrogen peroxide before trying to remove. Salve can be removed from wound with warm water and non-perfumed soap.

Herbal Tampon:

For intravaginal application smear salve onto the top two-thirds of a tampon and then insert into vagina. Leave in for 4 to 6 hours (best done while sleeping) and then take at least a 16-hour break before applying a fresh herbal tampon. Before treatment a water/vinegar or herbal douche may be useful. If long-range therapy is needed use herbal tampon once per day, five days per week, three weeks per month. Do not use during menses.

Adjunct Therapy:

Connective Tissue Tonic taken internally can assist in the repair and maintenance of healthy connective tissue.
Use Echinacea Extract to potentiate the body’s immune response to inflammation and infection, and to stimulate granulation of epithelial tissues. Three to five times per day, take 30 to 40 drops in water.

Cautions:

Depending upon their degree and progression, all of these can possibly become serious health threats. If redness, irritation, infection, fever, pain or other adverse symptoms increase or persist, or if foul odor appears, promptly seek qualified medical treatment.

Courage

Source and Much thanks to Ellie Goulding and a concert in Glastonbury <3

I got nothing in my brain, that's what people say. I say? Shake It Off~

Haters gonna hate, players gonna play, what do you do?

Cancer thoughts

Cancer, what a scary word. So hard this can be and scary yes, but with determination, strength and courage, we can overcome this. What I've been seriously thinking about and what's prompted me to start this tiny blog, is that for the body to truly heal, it needs to be seriously considered, why the cancer and other dis-eases are starting within our bodies.

None of us were born with cancers and diabetes and other dis-eases, they grew because of what's been put into our bodies. Unbeknownst to us, many of our foods have been chemically treated or genetically altered. We have to take a serious look at what we eat and what we put on our bodies. What we're exposing them to.

I am so angry with our country for allowing our foods to be sprayed with chemicals and for allowing companies to put things into food that are not natural. Our food, our water supply has been treated with so many different chemicals, it's no wonder that everyone now it seems is coming down with cancer or some other type of dis-ease.

What's sad, is unless we change what we put into our mouths, the cancer's will keep coming back. I had surgery to remove cancer, then found out cancer morphed yet again. I had more surgeries to have it removed, then found out it came back, then had more surgeries to remove that too. Well, it's still coming back. *Screams* It just won't go away! WHY!? I've screamed and cried about this over and over again. Until...

Until, it hit like that proverbial brick wall. Finally things I was reading started making sense. To simply put it: How do you get rid of a pimple. Well, the face needs to be washed and kept clean, right? Then the pimple heals and goes away. If it works this way for other things, then why not cancer too.

If we get a disease, a pimple, then it makes sense that it's because of something "dirty" that we're being exposed to. We can have it surgically removed, but if we keep playing in that dirty soil, then another pimple is bound to happen again. What we really need to do then, the only thing that makes sense, is to change the playground that we play in. If the soil is dirty where we've been playing, then we can find cleaner playgrounds and make sure we keep our face cleaner.

Same thing with our bodies. If we keep filling it full of dirty food and water, it's going to keep getting in trouble. What do we do? We have to learn to really look at what we eat. What kind of chemicals are in it and what it is made out of. God gave us these beautiful bodies and he also gave us beautiful food to eat. He promises us in The Bible that he gave us all the food we need and all the tools here on earth to heal ourselves, should we get sick.

With that being said, then why are our bodies going haywire? I don't think God meant for hamburger helper to be in our choices, nor that packet of spices, nor that bottle of Gatorade. He gave us fruit, vegetables, whole foods, whole plants and even animals to roam free. He didn't mean for us to eat scientifically designed food or to eat other chemicals. There is no place on earth to go harvest a cup of sugar, or a box of hamburger helper, or a can of soup.

We've gotten so conditioned to eat foods like this, that it's no wonder that society is cancer ridden, diabetes rampant and other dis-eases plaguing our world. We've gotten use to sugar as a reward, a Starbucks coffee as a great unwinder, a candy bar to fuel our day. That's what the ads tell us but, who's showing us those ads? What would God do? Shake His head I bet and point His finger at them and probably say shame on you folks for deceiving us and poisoning us,,, then probably say shame on us for letting our desires over rule our common sense that He gave us. Instincts that tell us, nono.

We, sadly, have to look at that oreo cookie for what it's truly made out of, look at that delicious creamer that goes in coffee,, look all those boxes and cans and other processed foods that we've gotten so use to calling "Handy helpers" and in other words, we have to seriously get back to basics, to truly let our bodies get back to how they were meant to be, simply and healthily whole.

I've had a super hard time making complete transitions to eating healthier, a true junk food junkie I was, and frustratingly I still can't resist some stuff and holy crappies does my body know it. I've been trying to eat much more organics and whole foods, plant based, and the body feels much better, cancer spots start to back off, but then temptation gets in the way and that pizza is just too good to ignore, or so tired in an evening and end up making a quick meal of those handy helpers >,< and then the body rebels and the cancer flares up and itches all night long, like last night! So mad at myself for having that pizza when I knew I shouldn't and then eating other junk on top of it.

With cancer, our bodies are saying that we've pushed them to the brink and we need to start making some drastic changes, Pronto. We have to seriously buckle down and change our eating habits. God does also promise though, that once we put forth the effort, truly, that He'll help us heal as long as we ask Him. Pray to Him. The key words though are we have to put forth the effort, no matter how much we don't like it, because our taste buds got spoiled by all this deliciously poisoned and sugar laced food.

I strongly suggest reading some articles and reading some of these books if you can. Mainly though, is to start checking out sites like "Chris Beat Cancer - http://www.chrisbeatcancer.com/" and "Cancer Truth - http://www.cancertruth.net/" and "Kid Against Chemo https://www.facebook.com/pages/Kid-Against-Chemo/742946279111241?fref=nf" and a few books I highly recommend are Kicking cancer in the kitchen - http://thekickingkitchen.com/ and "Forks over Knives - http://www.forksoverknives.com/"

Or, simply start googling Curing cancer. Truly, all their stories relate to the same thing. We have to change what we eat, drastically. We have to switch to organic, whole food, chemical free and clean water. Stop the sugar and processed foods, stop white flour, switch to whole grain flour, start eating plant based foods. Truly going back to the Garden Of Eden. Eating what God gave us. If it doesn't grow from the ground, then we need to turn our heads and walk away from it. No, that oreo cookie is NOT worth it. Sorry for the wall but, I'm getting super passionate that surgery does not cure cancer. The only true way to cure cancer, is by cleaning up our playgrounds. You can do this!!! We all can do this! Let's go play in that beautiful clean playground, God's playground, Garden of Eden style~

I'd like to introduce you to an Alt~er-Native Reality

~Altiana~

Sugar me healthy? It's still sugar, after all

I've been thinking allot about sugar lately and just how much this country really consumes. Almost every recipe I see and no matter what's being cooked, they all seem to add sugar in some form. I've been thinking back to when I was raising my kids and they never use to like sugar. Their very first taste of "sweetnesses" they didn't like. I have to admit that I think I was the one that got them to like sugar, because I'd "reward" them with cookies and goodies of all kinds that always had sugar in them. Why didn't I reward them with fruit, or some other type of organic goodness. I guess because it was the way I was raised too, the way that the ads on TV and all around us tell us to do. Reward with sweet looking cupcakes, take a break with a candy bar, be a good host and make a fabulous sugar filled cake with beautiful thick frosting, enjoy that cup of coffee with a delightful doughnut and sweet creamers for that perfect morning blend. We've been talked into believing that sugar is a beautiful thing.

When in reality, sugar is the silent sweet killer. So much dis-ease and so many aches and pains can be narrowed down to one thing and that's sugar. It's the root of so much cavities too!.. and pain and sickness, truly. Diabetics have problems with sugar, cancer patients, me included, can't tolerate refined sugar in any form. Even the so called healthy sugars, when broken down in the body to their simplest forms, they're still sugars. Sugar is sugar, no matter how healthy or organic it's labeled. The body knows no difference in the end. Some will argue there's a difference and while it may be true that the'res sugars that may be "better for you" and can contain healthful properties, it's still a form of that simple sugar and sugar is simply not healthy for the body. Such as the other properties in that honey, yes, the sugar part of it, no.

In other parts of the world where they don't use sugar, they don't have Near the problems that we do here.  Obesity, heart disease, diabetes, cancer, liver disease, high blood pressure just among a few. I feel guilty now for giving my kids so much sweets, because now that my sons are grown and have kids of their own, their own bodies have had trouble because of the foods that were eaten, processed foods contributed too. Boxed, canned, processed foods of all kinds and including sugar, have been the biggest killer of our society. So many people have died from so many different diseases, when they all stem down to what was consumed, what we put in our mouths.

If only we would really look at what we're eating and what that food really contains, what we're putting in our bodies and be more aware of the ingredients. Our bodies weren't meant to ingest chemicals, they weren't meant to ingest the dyes that color our food and  ingest the pesticides that are sprayed on the crops and to eat chemicals that replicate a flavor. They aren't meant for so much sugar either. Our bodies are meant to eat the food that is put here on earth, in it's own state. Gather together foods that are grown, mix them up and create meals. Not to add a chemical dye to it, nor to add some other chemical, nor to add sugar to it. Sugar cannot be found in its natural state. It has to be broken down to become sugar.

Do we even know how sugar is made? I don't. Sugar can't be harvested in it's natural state. Nowhere can you go and find a cup of sugar growing in the ground. Cereal isn't growing from the ground either. There is no fruit loop tree. Do we know how cereal becomes cereal? How about hamburger helper? Those nifty season packets. How about all those other seasoning packets we buy. Have you read your can of soup's label? What are all those ingredients? Gatorade, what was touted for years as being healthy. It wasn't until lately that Gatorade was found to have fire retardant in it, among other things we've yet to know what they are.  I know we would be shocked if we truly knew what was in all our food. And we wonder why our bodies are failing and sickness is rampant. Why our joints are so sore and our hormones fubared. Sugar is probably sloshing around inside of us, along with all those chemicals, making our bodies go haywire. Our minds too. No wonder society is going bonkers, it's on chemical and sugar overload.
